Minutes from the 2008 Annual Meeting

The meeting opened with welcome to the homeowners and the introduction of the Board at 7:33. It was determined that a quorum was present.

Secretary's Report

Heather Patton, acting as secretary, presented the highlights of the minutes of all meetings for 2008. Those highlights and the actual minutes of each meeting were handed out to all present for review.

Treasurer's Report

Thelena Williams discussed the balance sheet for 2008 and the proposed budget for 2009, which had been approved by the Board (attached).

We have 6 homes that contain renters,

There are 2 homes in the neighborhood for sale.

Six homes are delinquent on their dues, and though HOA bills were not due before this meeting, only 8 homes had not remitted the fourth quarter dues already.

We thanked Thelena for five years of service, two years as secretary and 3 years as treasurer. She will be leaving the Board in 2009.

Voting for New Board Members

Three of the board members were retiring -- Chris Rhawn, Thelena Williams, and the vacant position of the secretary. Dave Klepies left when his work shifted to evenings. Ron Stehlin, Dudley Skinker, and Donna Terry were elected to the Board and will start in January 2009. We voted them in, and welcomed them with thanks and encouragement.

For the Good of the community

Deb Yoder suggested that we may want to provide information about arborists who are willing to consult with homeowners free of charge. Many homeowners are finding that their trees need attention and they would really benefit from knowing who to call for expert information.

The annual meeting was closed in due form at 8:00pm.
